Why did I choose psychology?

Hello everyone!

I like to tell you a few things before I explain to you guys why I chose psychology.

When I was a child I remember that I wanted to be a hairstylist. A couple of years down the line though, while being in secondary school,  I wanted to become a psychologist, but it was just a thought that did not last for too long. After that event,  right about the time when I was getting ready for the PSU,  I decided to get myself into history teaching.

Nevertheless, couple of months later on I  changed my mind so I chose to teach math instead because I've always liked that subjet and I was good at it. 

During my first experience as a university student I was driven by the idea of becoming a math teacher so I submited my aplication to Pedagoy in Exact Ciencies and I was accepted. This first experience lasted three years. After I finished secondary school I started to do private math lessons and I still do it. In my experience working with teenagers and talking with them, I realized that is a crucial time in our lives and that is important to have a support in it. In addition to that, in my personal experience I have learned how important is mental health. So, after doing a lot of thinking, I decided to change my career and become a psychlogist.

I am really happy with my second experience at univesity, I found a new world in psychology and I really love it. I hope that in the future I can get a job that allows me to combine my passion to work in education and my will to contribute to mental health.
